Part 1. Getting Started
Welcome to #TEAMPRIMAL
First, thank you for trusting Primal Mobility to take your movements and mechanics to the next level. We don't take your trust lightly and will do everything in our power to get you to your goals!
Step 1. Join The #TEAMPRIMAL Private Facebook Group!
Your first step is to join our private Facebook group by clicking the link below.
Step 2. Introduce Yourself!
Once you’ve joined the private Facebook Group, it’s time to introduce yourself in a post using the hashtag #newtoprimal
Here’s what to share:
- Who you are
- Where you're from
- What style of fitness you practice or hobbies you have
- What brings you to Primal Mobility, and
- Your mobility goals!

A weekly Livestream from our Primal Coaches about your biggest mobility and fitness questions, challenges and tips

Primal Therapy
A monthly Livestream post from physical therapists about different injuries and pains, how to rehab them/ when to seek professional help, etc.

where you can learn from others and share your knowledge and experience.

Step 3. Take Your "Before" Progress Pictures
A great way to quickly track your mobility progress is through our 4 progress photos. These photos will help your coach quickly see how your body is responding to your programming, in between your bi-monthly assessments. You can use the images below as a guide, and post them in the Facebook Group with your introduction so we know it's your starting point!
Here’s how to do it:
- Make sure you are bare feet
- Wear tight-fitting clothes
- Ensure the photos are VERY clear, so it’s easy to assess and see the differences!

Step 4. Navigating The Primal Mobility App

Accessing Your Custom Primal Mobility Program
To access your custom mobility program, open the app and click the Kettlebell Icon at the bottom of your screen.

Communicating With Your Coach
Inside the Primal Mobility App, you will see a small bubble at the bottom right side of your screen with a photo of your coach. Click on that bubble to open up your conversation with them and start chattin'!π€

Part 2. Next Steps
Step 1: Assessment
In the Primal Mobility App, click the kettlebell to view your custom programming. You will see that the first workout available is titled “#Assessments.”

In this session, you will see multiple videos explaining how to complete and film your full body assessment for your coach.
Once your assessment videos are ready, send them to your coach through the app for review! This assessment protocol will be completed every 8 weeks so your coach can be sure that you two are on the right path (don't worry, we'll send you an email to notify you when it's time to do your next assessment!).
Step 2: Meet with your coach (if you haven’t already)
If you haven’t already had your onboarding call with your coach, use the link below to book your onboarding session now (please make sure to select your designated coach).
Step 3: Get Started
After you’ve met with your coach, they will add your custom program to the app. Depending on your goals and needs, this can take a few days, so check the app regularly. Once your programming has been added to the app, you can get started doing your custom workouts! We can’t wait to hear how things are going in the Facebook group!
But before we dive in...
Primal's Golden Rule: Neverπ ApproachπPain
If you experience pain in a movement, open communication with your coach is critical.
Our golden rule at Primal is “never approach pain,” as it can cause a “protective” response from the body and be counterproductive towards your goals. In a world where we tend to live by the "no pain, no gain" mantra, it might be a natural reaction to try to push through pain...don't do it!
Be sure to reach out to your coach and ask how to move forward.
Your coach might offer suggestions on scaling the movement, substituting it for something else entirely, or even just skipping it altogether and revisiting it in a few weeks.
Part 3. About The One-On-One Coaching Experience
We know how hard it can be to tackle pain, discomfort, and challenges, which is why you’ll be supported by a dedicated Primal Mobility coachπͺ
Your Mobility Coach
With your 1:1 Primal Mobility program, you have a dedicated mobility coach to provide customized mobility coaching and support to help you achieve your goals. You’ll benefit from their knowledge and experience, along with the knowledge of the entire Primal team.
If your coach needs additional support or information to help you achieve your goals, they have a team of professionals behind them (including a few physical therapists) to consult and ensure you are getting what you need.

Your Custom Program
You’ll see one week of programming at a time, and inside the coach's notes, you’ll see each session's intention is custom-tailored to your goals and needs. Your coach will use your on-going communication with them and bi-weekly check-in's to tailor your programming to fit your needs.

Communicating With Your Coach
Your coach will be meeting with you over zoom for an “on-boarding” consultation so you can get to know one another and truly explain what you’re after on your Primal Mobility journey.
All communication with your coach will be through the Primal Mobility App.
As a one-on-one client, you get priority communication with your coach. Feel free to ask questions and reach out anytime so your coach can cater your experience and programming to your needs. Inside the Primal Mobility App, you will see a small bubble at the bottom right side of your screen with a photo of your coach. Click on that bubble to open up your conversation with them!

Bi-Weekly Check-In
Your bi-weekly check-in is completed through an online form. You’ll receive an email notification to complete and submit your form to your coach.
Here is a brief list of some of the things your coach will be able to help you with!
- Explain why you may be experiencing some aches, pains or wasted potential in your training
- Help build a game plan with you so you can get the most out of the programming
- Show you how to use the programming to fit your lifestyle and goals
- Give you movement feedback on all of your Primal Mobility workouts
- Be there for you as a fitness/movement sounding board to bounce training/health ideas off of
- Answering any questions you may have about your aches, pains, anatomy, movement, training, injuries, recovery, warmups, mobility, etc.
- Help you scale movements that may be too challenging for you yet
- Showing you how to progress certain movements to increase the challenge and make it more effective
- Giving you some insight around any concerns you may be having
- Assess your current mobility and help you formulate some mobility goals

What About You?
Your coach is a professional powerhouse of information, tools and resources. However, they can’t do the work for you. Here’s what you need to do to get the most out of your Primal Mobility Program:
- Stay consistent with your bi-weekly check-ins
- Provide as much feedback as possible to your coach–the more feedback you give, the more tailored and up-to-date your program will be.
- At least 80% compliance to your Primal Mobility program
- Reach out to your coach whenever you need help
- Use all of the additional support and resources we offer, including the Private Facebook Group
